Well yee-ha…did I catch a live on today! Everyone who has a website or blog and is the field of E-Commerce has one thing on their mind often: Getting Top Page Rank in Search Engines! So it’s no surprise that when I get these emails I check them out to see what they are about.

Now, I write articles on Qassia and help build some links to my site, it’s one of my PR methods. So when I get an email from Qassia letting me know about this new Consulting Service they have, I check it out. Looks good, very interesting, discount price for allowing them to publish their results – Ok – I’m in or am I?

( This post had been modified pending further communication between myself and the owner of the company, this is issue is semi-resolved at the moment. )

Update: April , 2009 – the issue is resolved – the owner and I had many lengthy (and interesting discussions) and we both got to speak our mind.

The one thing I can not stand is people who are in business, dealing with customers, and yet they have no customer service skills whatsoever. Customers can be difficult to deal with for sure and misunderstandings can and do happen. But no matter the misunderstanding – you have to be smart about it and not freak out on the customer.

I don’t believe the customer is always right – that’s bulls*it. Some customers are completely mad and unreasonable and many are scammers – looking for freebies – so NO, the customer is not always right.

But…it is up to you – the representative of the company to keep your cool and act professional.

I really hate when you have a bad company dealing and then no one to take it up with. It really sucks when you are dealing with a bad rep of a company who is rude and personal insults you and then you get fired up to take action – only to find out that you have been dealing with the head crap of the company. Not many options out there in the great world of www to complain.

Customer service is something many of us take for granted until we see those around us who have no idea what it’s about. “Breathe and count to 10 is my rule of thumb.”
